1. Blueberry Gin and Elderflower Fizz
Serves: 6
100g of Blueberries
1 Large Sprig of Fresh Mint
Ice
Wash and add the blueberries to a large jug, then muddle with a rolling pin or serving spoon. Fill the jug just below halfway with ice, and pour in the Blueberry Gin and Elderflower Presse.
Stir well, and serve immediately. Garnish individual glasses with fresh mint.
2. Earl Grey Vodka MarTEAni
Yields: 1 Cocktail
1 Bag of Ridgways of London Earl Grey Tea
500ml of Water
1 Shot (25ml) of Brecon Five Vodka
2 tbsp of The Queen Bee Company Runny Honey
Juice of ½ Small Lemon
Ice
In a pan on medium heat, brew 1 bag of Earl Grey in 500ml of Water. After 5 minutes, stir in the honey until dissolved. Don’t let this mixture boil, as this will bring out bitterness in the tea. Leave to cool, then remove the tea bag and refrigerate. NB: Reserve this brewed tea, as it will enable you to make 5 of these cocktails or can be drunk alone as a refreshing iced tea!
In a cocktail shaker, add 100ml of the brewed tea, lemon juice, and Vodka. Shake several times, then strain into a glass, over ice. Garnish with a wedge of lemon.
3. Hot Spiced Apple Cider
Serves: 6
Two 500ml Bottles of Gwynt Y Ddraig Black Dragon Welsh Cider
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Star Anise
2 Cloves
½ tbsp of Nutmeg
2 Chunks of Stem Ginger, along with 2 tbsp of syrup
4 tbsp Light Muscovado Sugar
Orange, sliced
On low heat, warm the cider, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, nutmeg and chunks of stem ginger in a large pan for 5 minutes. When warm, add the ginger syrup, muscovado sugar, and sliced orange.
Bring to a boil, then gently simmer for another 5 minutes. Ladle into individual heat-proof glasses, and if you like, garnish with any left-over cinnamon sticks and star anise. TIP: If you want to make this extra boozy, add 50ml of Barti Spiced Rum (after boiling)!
4. Sweet and Simple Summer Sangria
Serves: 6
1 Bottle of Dry White Wine (we used Tintern Parva Bacchanalia 2018)
1 Large Sprig of Fresh Mint
100ml of Ginger Cordial
200ml of Lemonade
1 Large Peach, stoned and chopped
1 Large Apple, thinly sliced
Ice
Fill a large jug (we used a 2ltr jug) just below halfway with ice. Stone, core, and slice your Peach and Apple, and add to the jug, along with the fresh mint.
Pour in the White Wine, Ginger Cordial, and Lemonade; stir. Serve immediately, while ice cold.
5. Dirty Mojito
